Dr. Maria Chumovitskaya, Fulbright Scholar In Residence

Ms. Chumovitskaya is completing her PhD studies with the State Russian Museum, and she holds an M.A. degree from the Department of History and Theory of Art of St. Petersburg State University. Since 1990, she has been a lecturer at St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in the history of Russian and world art. She has extensive experience as a guide in the Hermitage Museum as well as in other museums and art collections in St. Petersburg. She has an interest in art restoration, and has served as a consultant on several state art restoration projects in Russia. At Bainbridge College, Ms. Chumovitskaya is teaching courses in Art Appreciation and Russian Art and Architecture.
