About the Course
Tech 0085 provides the fundamentals of arithmetic, including whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percents, averages, applied problems, and signed numbers, and to prepare the student to begin the transition from Arithmetic to Algebra. Students who take this course have scored lower than 37 on the Basic Math portion of the Compass test.
Windows 98 or higher operating system, Internet access, Email account, Student Access kit that is purchased with text. Vocational Math courses are not run through Angel or GA View. Students must purchase the MML student access kit to log into the course. Student access kits may be purchased in the college bookstore or online. WEB student's course ID is brannen86272 and you log-in at http://www.coursecompass.com. Click the yellow button below to watch an instructional video of how to register with MyMathLab.
On campus students will find the course id located on the menu bar of your semester plan on my web page(click the back arrow) or you wrote it down the first day of class. Before you set up your MyMathLab account, you need a valid email address, access code, and course id.
During the student registration process of setting up an account for MML, you will be asked if you have a Pearson account click NO. Next you will be asked to set up a login name and password. Once you set this up, please write this information down and do not lose it. This is information you will use to login the MML account each time. (they will ask this too...Zip code is 39818)
You can click on the button on my page that says MML login or type www.coursecompass.com to access your account. Click on login and enter the login name and password you created to access your MML account. Next click on the link on the left top part of your page where the course is listed. Now you are in!!!

How to Succeed
Work consistently in the course and meet all due dates. Some of the material available to you in the course include: Multimedia library with lecture videos and PowerPoint presentations. The assignments in the course are self-grading and can be redone until mastery is achieved.
