  Neutrophils are the most common leukocytes.

  • Germinal center is the light-colored central area of the follicle.

Leukocyte models

• Lymphocyte
  REMEMBER there are two main types of lymphocytes,
  although they can't be distinguished here.
  • B lymphocytes
  • T lymphocytes which include “T cytotoxic” and “T helper”
• Neutrophil
  Neutrophils are the most common leukocytes.
  Neutrophils are a type of phagocyte.

• Basophil
  Basophils secrete histamine.
• Eosinophil
  Eosinophils secrete enzymes that digest macroparasites.
• Monocyte
  Monocytes mature into macrophages.
