The Future Nurses of America
LPN Club
Article I (Name)
The name of this organization shall be Future Nurses of America.
Article II (Purpose of FNA)
The purpose of the Future Nurses of America shall be to provide an organization within each year’s LPN class that will exist for the purpose of accomplishing the following objectives:
Ø To collect dues for the parties, sickness within the LPN class purchase of gifts, caps, pins, and other items deemed necessary.
Ø To promote the ideals and ethical standards of the LPN
Ø To have a recognized club on campus to increase the visibility and recognition of the LPN student and the LPN.
Ø To promote interest in the National LPN organization on the local level.
Ø To provide an opportunity for Bainbridge College LPN Alumini to be aware of and participate in the activities of the FNA.
Ø To be available for participation in campus activities as a recognized club.
Ø To make the general aware of the Bainbridge College LPN Program.
Ø To increase the general public’s knowledge of the role of the nursing student and the Licensed Practical Nurse.
Article III (Membership)
The qualification for membership shall be as follows:
Enrolled at Bainbridge College in the LPN program or an alumni of the Bainbridge College LPN program.
Article IV (Dues)
Dues shall be $2.00 per month, due on the 1st Monday of each month and payable to the Treasure.
Article V (Officers)
The elected officers of this club shall be President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Treasurer, and Chaplin.
The appointed officers of this club shall be the Program Chairperson.
The duties of the officers:
Ø The President shall preside over all meetings and perform any other duties usually pertaining to his or her office.
Ø The Vice President shall perform all duties of the President in his or her absence.
Ø The Recording Secretary shall be responsible for the minutes and publicize all activities in college and commercial media.
Ø The Treasures shall be responsible for collecting all dues and shall cosign with the faculty sponsor(s) all invoices from the club’s treasury.
Ø The Chaplin shall give invocation for capping and pinning ceremonies and lead the prayers of the class on any occasion of prayer.
Article VI (Meetings)
Regular meetings shall be held once a month. Special meetings may be called at any time by the President
Rules and Regulations Governing the Future Nurses of America
1. All members must be enrolled in the LPN program at Bainbridge College
2. All members must uphold the moral and ethical standards of the LPN.
3. Dues shall be $2.00 per month, due on the 1st Monday of each month and payable to the Treasurer.
4. Failure to pay dues will result in suspension from the club and all activities of the club.
5. All officers must attend the meetings.
6. Any member with three consecutive unexcused absences from the meetings will be expelled from the club.
7. Class meeting will be held on the 1st Monday of each month that the college is in session.
8. Class meetings shall be no more than one hour in duration with thirty minutes devoted to an educational guest speaker if possible.
9. Any member receiving reprimands must come before the LPN instructor and class officers for disciplinary action.
10. Nomination for class officers shall be submitted by the 1st meeting in October. Immediate Past President shall preside over the 1st meeting if possible. In his or her absence the LPN instructor will preside.
