Why do we have Scroll Bars? |
| It's not so that scrolls will have a place to drink. A scroll bar appears on the right edge of the screen whenever a document has more material than can be shown in the screen space provided. In the example below, the black box shows the amount of text that can be displayed at one time. Since we are looking at the very first part of the document, the scroll indicator is at the top of the scroll area. |
