About Us
Mission
Since its inception in January, 2011, the Center for Teaching Excellence works to promote and enhance teaching effectiveness in online and traditional courses at Bainbridge College through the following endeavors:
- Building and supporting a community of teacher-scholars committed to examining and implementing, and sharing best practices in college teaching and learning
- Organizing and providing professional development opportunities for faculty on instruction-related issues
- Providing individual consultation and assistance to faculty in course design and problem-solving
- Promoting teaching excellence as an important and vital function of the institution
- Providing hardware and software to assist faculty in creation of course content
- Providing resources for developing faculty competence in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
The Teaching Excellence Team
The Teaching Excellence Team, a group of six faculty members representing all academic divisions of the college, is charged with investigating, testing, and disseminating best practices in higher education instruction to the rest of the Bainbridge College community of faculty.
