The Teaching Learning Community at Bainbridge College
The TLC is a special learning community of faculty at Bainbridge College dedicated to learning together how to teach better. Learning communities are flexible, sometimes formal, sometimes informal, groups of people with common interests striving to learn more about a subject of concern to everyone in the group. As such, the TLC at Bainbridge College is a faculty-driven group with the common goal of becoming the best instructors they can be.
When does the TLC meet?
The campus-wide TLC meets the first Wednesday of every month. Bring your lunch and join the discussion. This TLC is mostly faculty led, meaning individual or groups of faculty present ideas, methods, or tools they have learned about and want to share with other faculty. You will receive email notification of these gatherings, and they will be announced in the NEWS section of the CTE homepage.
Start your own TLC
Some faculty from particular disciplines have started their own TLC's to focus on concerns related to their discipline. Ask your colleagues if they know of meetings in your area or start your own!
Contact the CTE for more information about current TLC's or to get help starting your own.
