Step one: Define General Education Learning Outcomes:
  • To equip students with the skills necessary to produce organized, ethical and grammatically correct written communication.

    Students will be asked the question: Based on your experience at Bainbridge College, have your courses helped you develop skills to produce organized, ethical and gramm atically correct written communications?


Step two: Define Measurable Outcomes:
  • Students will :
  • Compose grammatically correct essays with identifiable components, including an introduction (with a thesis statement), a body of support, and a conclusion.
  • Identify and correct errors in mechanics and grammar in their own writing and in the writing of others.
  • understand the writing process, so that they may better organize and synthesize materials across disciplines.
  • Incorporate basic research ( e.g. library materials and Internet resources) into their written work, presenting that information in a manner appropriate to audience and discipline.
