This class has shown me a lot of different roads to enhance my studying. You are a great Teacher. I know when I finish my studying at Bainbridge College, I will reflect on all the hard roads I have had to endure to get where I want to go in life. Keep up the good work. Thank you

I feel that everything we discussed in class was very helpful to me. I think coming to the realization that I am truly able to control my future was eye opening. I have learned that I am responsible for my education and that I have to make sure that I am taking the correct fork in the road. I am confindent that I can now make the right choices for myself by staying on track and keeping "Stinking Thinking" out of my decision making. This course has given me confidence by knowing that I have learned better study and test taking skills. I know now that I can reach my goals because " I Am Driving My Car".

This subject has help me to organize my material so that I can understand a lot of the material that was presented to me in other classes.I also like the teacher too. The way you teach make the class exciting and understanding. Thanks Dr.Strickland I'm driving my own car.

I learn how to be the driver of the car, and not the passager- this mean to be in charge of my owu actions and not blame someone else for my problems.I learned how to deal with my inter crite, when someone say that I can't do someting, I show them that I can do it. I learn how to take notes, and study for tests. I learn how to set goals and see them though. I learn to let the world know that,I'm A respectful, on time, and successful woman yes I am

The things we did in class was learn to be our own driver of our life and get the junk out of our trunk and listen to Bill tell us his stories about women. Thanks Dr. Strickland for teaching me the things i didn't know before coming to your class.

My favorite memory in class was the day we all got in a circle and stepped in the middle if we had a particular talent. I was a little apprehensive at first, but as others came forward it got to be fun. It also told us a little something about each other and this made it very interesting. THANKS for making this class one to look forward to. I also liked the self-image card.

This class has been about motivation of students and the techniques used to strive for what we want, and it has made me realize I am responsible for my life. We each need to take charge and use the learning skills that have been provided through this class; to carry on through, and to become successful in our goals. It was a chance to take a hard look at my life and how I should go about making key decisions. I learned to take better notes, and how to follow the four step method the PRWR. I am already applying many of the skills I have learned, especially the test taking anxiety part. This course has helped me see other ways to tackle my everyday problems with a method to the madness. Thanks

I have really enjoyed being in this class this semester. I has been very insightful for me. I have learned many things that will help me go through college and life successfully. Since I have been in this class I have found myself thinking more successful and not thinking negative all the time. This class has taught me not only to be successful but to try to help others be succesful also. At times on the phone I found myself talking about this class and telling others what I have learned and maybe things they can do to try to get on the road to success. "If you want things to be different, you have to make different choices" is a statement that I carry along with me everday. Your life go by the choices that you make. Only you should "drive your car" at all times.

This class for me has given me the ability to see myself from the beginning unto now where, I want to be in life and how I see myself in years to come. I already knew that I was driving my car, but I know for certainity that I'm in control of the wheel. Driving my car has been a challenge for me since the beginning of attending college. Also, this class has given me a different perspective of how I can better manage my time, it changed the way I study and take better notes. Furthermore, it has allowed me keep a positive attitude about myself and others. It allow me to speak out loud who I was and that felt good. I love coommunicating with others that was also good feeling. However, one of the most important thing to me was it help keep in mind and heart who, what and why I'am seeking to be the best person possible and reach my goal in life, and to continue to strive for the highest in life. With this being said the next important thing this class have done for me was revisiting my main purpose for attending college which is my vision and a mission: My vision was to attend college and recieve the best education possible and become a successful Criminal Defense Attorney. With my vision in motion now I must carry out my mission. My mission is too educate those who are in need of information and resources of his or her rights. Knowledge is power; with knowledge we can conquer obstacles when a situation occurs. This class has helped me became a better person and appreciate others and to continue striving to be and do the best I can.

This class has been great for me. During this course, I learned a lot about taking tests and what to do in order to pass those tests. For example; sitting in a quiet spot before a test has worked very well for me. Also; I have learned to open up and talk to others more. Last but not least, I have had a number of people telling me that I will not make it. So I say to those people, I have been driving my own car for 28 years and now is not the time to allow an amateur to get under the stirring wheel.

One of the most important topics to me is how is driving your car. I learned that it is real easy for someone else to drive your car. When I started this class, I was not driving my car. I was letting my inner defender blame all of my problems on everyone else. Now I see how my problems are not anyone else falt. I need to face them head on and take responsiblity for my actions. I learned that my attendance and homework are my responsibilty to do and have it done on time. I learned that your communication and body languages play a very important roll on how the teachers and other people look at you. One of the 3 best ways to approach someone is by making good eye contact, lean forward, and smile. One of the best ways to use a cell phone is not to have a ring back tone, because no one wants to listen to the music while they wait on you. Now as i finish this class I feel like i am the one driving my car.

Dr. Strickland, I have really enjoyed your class. I'm driving my own car now. That's a great feeling to have. I have been able to put a lot of my work together because of the quideline that you have giving me. I'm going to be a better student and stop thinking negative about the things that I felt like I couldn't do.I'm changing my route about thinking, feelings and behaviors. When things don't go right for me I'm not going to blame others, I going to take the responsibility of my own behavior.

The most rememberable item from the course was the discussion we had near the end concerning School goals, how to reach them and financial aid. Going over the different degree potentials and what is required is nice to hear. Lots of students I have crossed do not know what they are doing or why. "My advisor picked these classes" is the most common heard excuse I hear, when I ask why they are in that particular class. A lot of people, mostly older, don't understand computer or internet and have lots of trouble with their classes, and thus want to give up. If I were to suggest something to change it would be to spend a little more time going over schedules, degrees and Financial aid (which is a tender subject for everyone). I have found that when people have learned how something "ticks", they tend to have a better understanding of what is going on instead of "B#$ing" all of the time. The worst problem I see is when someone gets hurt over something important, that tends to be the straw that breaks them. For example, this semester, for once, I almost quit. I am 2 months behind on bills, and though blame is a game most play for their inadequacies, I have found out who exactly has led to my problems. With this, I see why the guy from our first set of readings may have had a reason to quit his classes (pending this was his issue, which was never explained).

Foundation for Success has made a different in my life. I've learned to be responsible for my only action. When I started this class I didn't have the positive attitude that I now have. I've learned to silence my Inner Critic and not let it control my life. I thank you for been such good teach, you have help me to get through this semester. I thank God for you and would love to have for another class. Be bless.

This class have been the best class i have ever had. It have taught me to chase away all my fears and to gain the ability to try and succeed in my life; in a way that i never thought i possibly could. it has taught me to stop blaming others for my lack of achieving and start taking a closer look at my own. I loved this class and admired all the people that were in it. I wish everyone the best and hope that you all succeed your goals in life.
