Early Alert Reporting in BANNER

To report students at risk, click on BC Early Alert System in Banner at the end of the first-quarter mark each semester and choose one of the following codes for students who are not passing with a C or better:

Poor Attendance Poor attendance is the primary reason for poor performance.
Poor Test/Quiz Scores Low test/quiz scores are the primary reason for poor performance.
Tutoring Needed Tutoring is recommended.
Behavioral Problems Behavioral problems (inappropriate classroom behavior) are the primary reason causing poor performance.

Enter remarks as needed to further explain the codes.

Once you have entered Early Alert codes, students will be entered into the Early Alert database, and the Student Success Center advisors will contact these students to inform them of faculty concerns and share with them how to access support services. Our advisors will keep faculty informed and work as closely with them as needed.
