Required Ethics Course

In 2008, the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents approved a USG Ethics Policy. You can view the new Ethics Policy at www.usg.edu/compliance/ethics.  As part of this effort to enhance ethical conduct by everyone working for and with USG institutions, all faculty and staff are required to take a course on ethical behavior in the workplace and pass the assessment that is a part of the course. The course is self-paced and will take 30 to 45 minutes for most people. New employees must complete the course within two months of the first day of employment. Because the course is offered in our online course system, GeorgiaVIEW, you can take the course anywhere and at any time you have access to a computer and the internet.

Refresher Course

The USG has released a new, refresher course on ethics for all faculty and staff who have already taken the original course. This refresher course will take about 20 minutes to complete and includes seven multiple-choice questions as well as another compliance agreement. ALL faculty and staff should complete the training by September 30, 2011.  Please log into GeorgiaVIEW at your convenience and look for the course Training - Ethics 2011. Once you enter the course, click on the link, “Ethics – Refresher course 2011” to complete the required course. If you completed the original course, you do not need to go through the other link you see, “Ethics – Basic Course.”

If you have lost your GeorgiaVIEW login information, please stop-by OIIT (in building 400) with a photo ID for assistance or see Mark Kelly at BCEC.
