Practicing with FrontPage
1. Save this file on your floppy disk in the folder called practice by going to FILE/Save AS and naming it with your last name in the FILE NAME box. Make sure you save it in your new folder--the SAVE IN box should show your folder with the name PRACTICE. Make sure you don't put spaces in any filenames that will be published on the web.
2. Change this line to a font size of 4 and its color to red and its style to bold.
3. Center this line of text. Put a bullet in front of it. Erase 3 and add a bullet.
4. Go to google.com and find an image of an apple with a worm. Enter "worm in apple" in the search bar. When the thumbnail page comes up, click on "appleworm.gif" at the end of the first row. Then click on SEE FULLSIZE IMAGE. Right- click on the image and choose SAVE PICTURE AS. Save it in your folder.
5. Insert the image on this page by choosing INSERT/PICTURE/FROM FILE. You should be looking at the apple! Then right-click on the image and choose PICTURE PROPERTIES. Choose WRAP LEFT. Add a 2-point border.
6. Now, we're going to find a website about Johnny Appleseed and link it to the apple. Go to google.com (Go to START/PROGRAMS/INTERNET EXPLORER) and enter "Johnny Appleseed" in quote marks and also enter the word biography. Click Google Search. Now click on the second entry, John Chapman Appleseed. We're going to copy the link for this page by clicking in the address bar. Hit CONTROL/C to copy the URL. (Don't close Internet Explorer. Just return to FrontPage by clicking on it at the bottom of your monitor.) Then return to this page and click on the apple. Hit CONTROL/K and then CONTROL/V. The URL will have been pasted into the link box. Click ok. Go to FILE/PREVIEW IN BROWSER and click on your link. It should go to the website! You can link to a word or phrase by highlighting it and using CONTROL/K and CONTROL/V.

Now, we're going to create a button and link it to a website. go to
INSERT/INTERACTIVE BUTTON. Choose BORDER BUTTON 1. Where it says TEXT at the
bottom of the screen, type More Information in place of BUTTON TEXT. Note
it doesn't fit. Now go to the FONT tab and choose TEMPUS SANS, 12 point. Now go
to the IMAGE tab and increase the width to 200. It fits! Now go back to the
BUTTON tab and paste this URL there in the LINK bar:
