Bainbridge College (BC) offers a variety of avenues to pursue in education.
Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education: This is offered through the technical division. After completing the diploma one is prepared to work as child care provider in a child care setting. Bright From the Start will offer a stipend for child care providers who hold a diploma in early childhood care and education.
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education: This is offered through the technical division. After completing the degree one is prepared to work as child care provider in a child care setting, become a director of a child care facility, and qualified to apply for a paraprofessional position in a public/private school setting.
Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood or Middle School: This is offered through the Arts and Science Division. After completing the degree one is prepared to transfer to a four-year institution to continue working towards a Bachelor's degree. Most Georgia colleges of education will require the successful completion of the GACE I Basic Skills as one requirement to be accepted into a professional teacher education program.
Secondary Education Majors will major in the content area they desire to be certified in as well as take the three EDUC courses to complete the AA degree.
